Adoption

We are super excited to announce that we our on the journey to adopt baby Trygg!

We have always felt called to adopt even before we met! As teens, when we were dating and dreaming we would talk about how someday we would adopt. Our dreams are now becoming a reality as we work towards adopting our first child!

Due to Jared's history with cancer, we knew that having a family would not follow a traditional route. We have spent the past year trying to get pregnant through multiple fertility treatments, and, after many months of disappointments we were given the option by our doctor to start the process of IVF. After praying and considering our options we felt with clarity that it was time to peruse adoption rather then seeking future medical treatments. Our year of undergoing fertility treatments was very difficult, both emotionally and physically, and we feel at peace and find great joy and hope for what our future will be through adoption!

We signed up with Christian Adoption Consultants on December 1st, 2016 and started contacting companies to begin our home study. We received an email on December 2nd that they had a cancelation the following day if we were free! We had been praying that the process would move quickly and it really really was! We worked for weeks on all of the paper work, background checks, etc., and have now submitted everything for our home study and are just waiting for the final copy! We are now working on getting in all of the paper work for the agencies. So, once we are home study approved, we can start presenting to expectant families.

Adoption is exciting and also full of unknowns! We are so excited to be parents and get to welcome a baby into our family. We are excited to love them and teach them about Jesus! We are excited for the process and the way God will work to be glorified through the situation. With all of the excitement also comes a lot of unknown. We are praying for our baby and ask you to join us as we leap into the next step of the adoption process and start seeing profiles of expectant mothers. We are praying that we will be matched and be able to connect with the parents and show them love and support in a very difficult time and situation. Please consider to pray for us through this process, our future baby, and the birth family.

Thanks for being a part of our journey! We will continue to update this page as our adoption story unfolds!
